Me

I'm Keren, a classically trained chef who has lived all over the world.    I have lived on Mallorca for 10 years working in restaurants, private chef services, catering companies and cooking schools, both for myself and working in a team. 

I bought a house 3 years ago and, due to family circumstances, I decided to open a cooking school at home.  I designed my kitchen myself with a view to create a space that is both comfortable and practical. I want people to feel comfortable, like in their own home, but also have the space and tools to learn professional skills. 

About the kitchen space

The kitchen space began its life as a living room. I took the biggest room in my house and selfishly turned it into my dream kitchen! At first, we reduced the room to rubble, ripped out the chimney and one of the walls, then we began to rebuild.  It took many months but slowly it came together. I experienced the typical delays, problems and let-downs, had some dramatic moments with neighbours (and cranes), but eventually I managed to achieve a usable space. I'm still missing the built-in table and I suspect I will never quite be finished with this room, but it is already my favourite place and my personal sanctuary.
